The new Forest Hill 24-hr Police Station is located on the Old Healesville freeway reserve on Springvale Road in Vermont South. The building has been oriented east-west and placed at the north of the site with carparking to the south. A number of internal courtyards are provided within the building footprint.

The orientation, provision of courtyards and stepping of the two storey building allows natural ventilation and views to nearby parkland and the Dandenong ranges, while importantly maintaining security and privacy within the police station.

This two story building comprises of brick work and metal cladding comprises new offices, staff amenities, reception area, interview rooms, holding cells, radio services, staff rooms, secure parking, storage areas, lift, landscaping.
