Executive General Manager
With over 16 years industry experience and having worked in most States across the country, Daniel has delivered and overseen some of the countries most awarded and significant projects, whilst also being at the helm of delivering a number of construction industry firsts both Nationally and Internationally.
Having worked in all industry sectors and on every scale of project, Daniel’s technical knowledge and know how is a great asset to the Johns Lyng business and to that of our clients. Daniel’s role is the oversight and operation of the Commercial Building business and as a high impact and hands on General Manager, he uses his positive and non-adversarial approach to solving the most complex of issues.
With a passion for timely and high-quality delivery, coupled with a razor-sharp focus on customer service, Daniel leads by the ethos that a satisfied client today is the key to the success of the business tomorrow and into the future.
With over 13 years industry experience and having worked in numerous States across the Country, Jimmy has a wide range of exposure to different market sectors and has consistently delivered high quality outcomes, on time, often with significant logistical challenges.
One of Jimmy’s greatest strengths is his commitment and focus on stakeholder management and formulation of trusting and open relationships with his clients where his communication skills are best exemplified. Jimmy is passionate in ensuring his commitment to Stakeholder management is passed down and also reflected by his delivery teams. Jimmy is ultimately responsible for the Delivery side of the Johns Lyng business and ensuring that our clients projects are finished on time, safely and to the highest levels of quality.
Jimmy leads by example and is a Construction Manager that gets his hands dirty to assist in all facets of project delivery and ensures that the most complex of problems are solved without affecting a projects progress. Jimmy is an advocate of the importance of creating a team environment with all project stakeholders and an environment in which all parties enjoy the delivery process.
Chris joined Johns Lyng Commercial in 2009 and has over 12 years industry experience.
With a background as a Contracts Administrator and Project Manager, this has given him a thorough understanding of building processes and construction methodology. In his role as Construction Manager, Chris provides support to all facets of the business and champions the business focused approach to ensuring its policies and procedures are followed.
Chris is responsible for the development and training programmes for all Johns Lyng Commercial’s staff and is extremely passionate about creating an environment within the business to facilitate individual growth in line with the aspirations of the business.
Senior OHSE Manager
Michael has many years experience within Commercial Construction. He joined Johns Lyng Commercial Builders in 2017 after proving himself considerably as HSE Manager for the Johns lyng Group. His previous roles involved ensuring compliance of Occupational Health & Safety AS 4801, Quality ISO 9001 and Environmental ISO 14001 and FSO certification. Michael is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of our OHS Management system at site level, ensuring that Johns Lyng Commercial Builders meets and exceeds its legal obligations as prescribed by relevant legislation.
Michael ensures the OHS components of JLCB and Sub-Contractors inductions are developed, implemented and reviewed as required. In his role as OH&S Manager Mick assists with all audit processes for site activities on a monthly basis and prepares and reports to the board of directors on the performance of the OH&S management system. Michael promotes the use of risk management tools and assists with risk assessment and safe work method statement preparation ensuring all high risk activities have the appropriate SWMS.
Business Development Manager
Mark has an intuitive talent for understanding client requirements and a demonstrated capacity to translate opportunities into reality. With over 30 years’ experience in design, development, planning, construction, fitout, project management, facilities and cost management, he has a professional and hands-on working knowledge of all aspects of the property and construction industry.
Having worked internationally for many years, Mark has been based in Australia for over 20 years but continues to travel regularly to maintain an up to date global perspective. Drawing on this breadth of industry experience, as a client, contractor and consultant Mark formed Retail Detail Group in 2004. Internationally Mark managed a leading commercial interiors and shop fitting business in New Zealand and in the UK worked as project manager and cost consultant delivering projects such as B Sky B retail studios and head office in London as well as other complex fit-out projects.
Over the past 10 years Mark has focused on business development. The vast network developed over many years in the industry assists Johns Lyng to make strategic contacts and gain key opportunities to grow the business.
